I recommend you research the website and you will find they give out 20k grants(free money) to NGO's who disperse YOUR money to people in this country illegally. Duke had the nerve to send out emails asking people to donate money to help others pay for energy costs. WHAT? How about the CEO donate HER wealth and lower the cost where it is affordable for ALL citizens!

Please contact Duke, your insurance commissioner and Governor DeSantis and file a formal complaint.

This is absolutely appaling and unethical on every level!!!

PS. I'm a Florida resident where it gets 95 plus degrees!

Don't ever overpay them, thinking you are getting ahead on your bills. I did that and they "lost" my overpayment and it was a nightmare getting it resolved.

Decided to write a letter regarding change in bill processing since I was unable to get a person via phone

Needed to change monthly bill to a different bank but was unable to contact a person. I wrote a letter with request instead. If that works I will be satisfied. Thank you for caring.

There's no bill.I need to get in touch with someone who can help with getting electric turned on at an address in Seymour Indiana. I have spoken with Duke Energy and they are saying that $900 has to be paid before the electric service gets turned on. It's getting cold.

Hi my name is Mary Stamey my birth date is April 16 1968 last 4 digits of SS 2971 my address is 399 mount Vernon church Rd Iron station NC 28080 I need to talk with someone that can help my daughter and I with our light bill am 55 she is 20 she is in school we got soooofar behind on ours lights when covit was around we both have been trying to get the bill down but this payment I called in 667.00 I had to pay this month but when i called customer service a Lady told me to pay it before cut off so SOCIAL SERVICES WAS GOING TO HELP BUT WHEN SHE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY TOLD HER I HAD TO PAY THE 3500$ BY THE 27TH I NEED HELP VERY BAD MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY AND MY DAUGHTER AND I HAVE BEEN THREW IT...IHAVE A. 1000$ AND SOCIAL SERVICES WILL HELP ALL THEY CAN PLEASE GIVE ME A CHANCE TO PAY THIS OFF AND GET BACK ON OUR FEET THANK YOU AND HOPE YOU HAVE A BLESSED DAY

I hate duke

This is the worse company to ever have to deal with. My bill keeps getting larger and I know that I've completely been without any heating and air for months so this isn't right. I hey papery bill says 840 due Nov 6 I paid in it 2 weeks ago and my balance after payment is higher then my passport billing how is not even Nov 6 yet

Energy assessment for home

I have a 72 year old sister that lives in Williamston, S.C. She is physically and somewhat mentally disabled, on a fixed income, and is not incapable of doing very much for herself. Her home is old and very much in need of an energy assessment. Her energy bill is more than $300 per month. She desperately needs to have her home insulated and winterized. PLEASE HELP HER.. Her 55 disabled son, who has heart failure, lives with her. Also his 10 year old daughter. She does the best she possibly can to care for herself and them. No I haven't heard back from Duke energy. My daughter and I will have no lights if I don't come up with 2700$ we got behind because of covit but for the last few months we paid 1300$ 1000$ 800$ to try

Customers of Duke Energy with solar panels with Net metering be aware!

Duke energy made a very unfair move with results in millions of dollars from our pockets into theirs by us producing and and delivering free electricity to the grid.

In this move Duke Energy resets the accumulated kwh you have in your system at the end of the month of May and you lose it. Yes you heard it right.

You lose the credit you had accumulated. Now the question here is why May??? Very simple. During the months of January thru May is when the system is most efficient as weather allows the perfect combination (Low energy consumption in the house and high energy production by the solar panels) That's exactly what you want in preparation of the hot summer months so you have a bank of credit.

But if that savings account goes to zero on June 1st then your system will not be able to keep up and compensate for the hot summer and in preparation for winter. It is a Lose Lose for the customers.

In my case I lost 1372 kwh. That is more than one month's worth of electricity.

This is definitely a low move and hopefully other customers complain and Duke Energy.

If you own a solar panel system and you are in the Carolinas connected with Duke Energy, you are experiencing the same problem. You are giving away free electricity to them and they are making a profit on your behalf.
